In the Quran, the capacity to accurately interpret a divine message previously obscured from the masses is a sign of divine favor and authorization. This revelatory ability is reserved for those whom God deems righteous, as He does not grant such profound insights to those who are insincere or liars.
72:27 Only to a messenger that He chooses, does He reveal from the past and the future, specific news.
A case in point is Joseph’s ability to correctly interpret the dreams of his two prison mates and the king. In the case of the king’s dream, when he posed his dream to his elders, their response was the following.
12:43 The king said, “I saw seven fat cows being devoured by seven skinny cows, and seven green spikes (of wheat), and others shriveled. O my elders, advise me regarding my dream, if you know how to interpret the dreams.”
Similarly, in the Bible, this also transpires with the prophet Daniel. On two occasions, Daniel interpreted what no one else could make sense of.
In Daniel 2, King Nebuchadnezzar had a troubling dream that none of his wise men could interpret, which led him to threaten their lives. Daniel, however, prayed to God for wisdom and was given the interpretation. The dream involved a gigantic statue composed of various materials: a head of gold, chest and arms of silver, belly and thighs of bronze, legs of iron, and feet partly of iron and partly of baked clay. A stone struck the statue and broke it to pieces, then the stone became a huge mountain that filled the whole earth.
Daniel interpreted this as a prophecy about the rise and fall of empires. The head of gold represented Nebuchadnezzar’s Babylonian Empire, which would be succeeded by inferior kingdoms (represented by silver, bronze, and iron) and, eventually, a kingdom set up by God (the stone) that would never be destroyed or succeeded.
The second event occurred during the reign of King Belshazzar, as recorded in Daniel 5. During a feast, a disembodied hand appeared and wrote on the palace wall. The text, “MENE, MENE, TEKEL, PARSIN,” baffled all the wise men of Babylon. Daniel was called to interpret the writing. He explained that it meant God had numbered the days of Belshazzar’s reign and brought it to an end (“MENE”), that Belshazzar had been weighed and found wanting (“TEKEL”), and that his kingdom would be divided and given to the Medes and Persians (“PARSIN”). That night, Belshazzar was killed, and Darius the Mede took over the kingdom.
Both of these episodes underscore the biblical theme of God’s sovereignty over human affairs and kingdoms, using Daniel as a conduit for divine messages to the ruling powers of Babylon.
Interestingly, many facets of the Quran and religion were hidden from the masses until the proclaimed messenger, Dr. Rashad Khalifa, clarified these matters for the people with God’s leave. This includes the proper understanding of certain verses and concepts and the revealing of divine information.
For those who are unaware, Dr. Rashad Khalifa not only spearheaded the modern Quran Alone movement and showed that the Hadith and Sunnah were fabrications of the devil and condemned by the Quran itself, but he was also commissioned by God to reveal Code 19 to the world.
Code 19 is the fourth preservation mechanism of the Quran that eliminates the question of which recitation (qiraat) of the Quran was the correct version given to the prophet over 1400 years ago. This revelation was destined by God to be revealed in 1974 by Dr. Rashad Khalifa, exactly 1406 (19×74) lunar years after the revelation of the Quran.
Rashad was the first person to understand the correct meaning of Sura 74, The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir), and the function of the number 19 mentioned in verse 30 of this Sura as a rebuttal to those who claimed that the Quran was clever magic and human-made.
74:24 He said, “This is but clever magic!
74:25 “This is human made.”
74:31 We appointed angels to be guardians of Hell, and we assigned their number (19) (1) to disturb the disbelievers, (2) to convince the Christians and Jews (that this is a divine scripture), (3) to strengthen the faith of the faithful, (4) to remove all traces of doubt from the hearts of Christians, Jews, as well as the believers, and (5) to expose those who harbor doubt in their hearts, and the disbelievers; they will say, “What did GOD mean by this allegory?” GOD thus sends astray whomever He wills, and guides whomever He wills. None knows the soldiers of your Lord except He. This is a reminder for the people.
By unlocking Code 19, Dr. Khalira revealed the meaning of the mysterious Quranic initials (Huroof Muqata’aat / الحروف المقطعات) that prefix 29 of the Quran’s 114 (19×6) Suras, by God’s leave. That these initials appear in their respective sets of Suras in multiples of 19. Below is a summary of the 29 initialed suras and the frequency of occurrences.
In addition to Code 19, Rashad was the only person who could properly translate several verses in a manner true to the Arabic and overall message of the Quran. Examples of some of the verses that have been mistranslated by the masses are the following: 22:15, 38:34, and 38:44. If you investigate other translations of these three verses, they insinuate that (1) God wants people to go kill themselves (2) that He put a corpse on Solomon’s throne (3) that Job promised to beat his wife.
This is just a small sample of verses and concepts that this one person was able to understand that the masses were incapable of seeing. So, one has to ask how a person could have extracted all this from God’s book if he was not a messenger of God.
40:38 The one who believed said, “ O my people, follow me, and I will guide you in the right way (rashad).
40:39 “O my people, this first life is a temporary illusion, while the Hereafter is the eternal abode.”
40:40 Whoever commits a sin is requited for just that, and whoever works righteousness—male or female—while believing, these will enter Paradise wherein they receive provisions without any limits. The Believing Egyptian Debates With His People
40:41 “O my people, while I invite you to be saved, you invite me to the hellfire.
40:42 “You invite me to be unappreciative of GOD, and to set up beside Him idols that I do not recognize. I am inviting you to the Almighty, the Forgiver.
40:43 “There is no doubt that what you invite me to do has no basis in this world, nor in the Hereafter, that our ultimate return is to GOD, and that the transgressors have incurred the hellfire.
40:44 “Some day you will remember what I am telling you now. I leave the judgment of this matter to GOD; GOD is the Seer of all the people.”
