Fasting For a Whole Month

The Hadith has a tendency to imbue the prophet with all kinds of supernatural powers. From being able to gush water out of his finger to provide water for ablution for 1400 people ( Sahih al-Bukhari 5639), to the splitting the moon in half ( Sahih al-Bukhari 3637), to having the sexual drive of thirty men ( Sahih al-Bukhari 268).
All these narratives contradict the statement in the Quran that the prophet did not receive a physical miracle like the messengers in the past. The prophet’s only miracle was the Quran, and he was commanded to respond when people asked him for a miracle by saying, “The future belongs to God; so wait, and I am waiting along with you.”
10:20 They say, “How come no miracle came down to him from his Lord?” Say, “The future belongs to GOD; so wait, and I am waiting along with you.”
One of the stranger Hadith attributed to the prophet was that apparently, he did not need to eat or drink any food because God provided him with his nourishment while he was sleeping. So because of this, he used to fast the entire month of Ramadan, day and night, and not break his fast.
