The foundational belief established through the religion of Submission (Islam) and propagated in God’s final scripture to mankind is that “there is no god beside God.”
3:18 GOD bears witness that there is no god except He, and so do the angels and those who possess knowledge. Truthfully and equitably, He is the absolute god; there is no god but He, the Almighty, Most Wise.
47:19 You shall know that: “There is no other god beside GOD,” and ask forgiveness of your sins and the sins of all believing men and women. GOD is fully aware of your decisions and your ultimate destiny.
Yet people have set up religious leaders as partners next to god, creating an intermediary between themselves and their Creator.
9:31 They have set up their religious leaders and scholars as lords, instead of GOD. Others deified the Messiah, son of Mary. They were all commanded to worship only one god. There is no god except He. Be He glorified, high above having any partners.
And just like we should not put partners next to God, we also should not put partners next to God’s words in His final scripture, the Quran.
The Quran articulates that this is the only book we are to uphold as a source of religious law.
6:114 Shall I seek other than GOD as a source of law, when He has revealed to you this book fully detailed? Those who received the scripture recognize that it has been revealed from your Lord, truthfully. You shall not harbor any doubt.
6:115 The word of your Lord is complete, in truth and justice. Nothing shall abrogate His words. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient.
So, in conclusion, God has no partners. Therefore we worship God Alone. Similarly, the Quran has no partners. Therefore we follow the Quran Alone.
17:88 Say, “If all the humans and all the jinns banded together in order to produce a Quran like this, they can never produce anything like it, no matter how much assistance they lent one another.”
