Submitters Perspective, February 2009
Jihad as the Quran defines it, prompted by the Mumbai attacks of November 2008: striving in the cause of God against Satan and one's own inclinations, with war permitted only in self-defense and against oppression. Verses on ceasing fire when enemies seek peace, deterrence, and no compulsion in religion are cited, along with a call to read the Quran in full context. An announcement of the 24th United Submitters Annual Conference in Sacramento follows.
