DNA as the coded message of life is set beside the Quran's 19 based mathematical code, with verses on creation, resurrection and God's prior recording of all things. A British woman raised Roman Catholic then recounts rejecting the trinity, studying Islam, recoiling from the idolizing of Muhammad and hadith, and finding submission through Rashad Khalifa's translation and the contact prayer.
Every living organism is made of cells. The
cell is the smallest living units in our body. We are made of billions
of specialized cells. These cells, such as skin, brain and bone cells,
work together to form organs, which make the systems of our body.
DNA is found in our cells. It is basically a long chain of molecule that
contains prerecorded code for the cells. DNA is the abbreviation
for Deoxyribonucleic Acid. "D" stands for Deoxyribo. "N"
stands for Nucleic, because DNA was first found in the nucleus of a cell
before being found in a plant cell. "A" stands for Acid because
of the Phosphoric acid that is present in the chain.
“Codes” have always been used
for communication from the Egyptian hieroglyphics to the English alphabet
of today. The Quran is a 19-based mathematically coded message of God.
It has 29 suras (chapters) that are prefixed with 14 different sets of
Quranic initials: ALM, ALR, ALMR, ALMS, Q, KHYAS, S, YS, TH, TSM,
TS, HM, ASQ and N. The significance of these Quranic initials
remained a divinely guarded secret for 14 centuries.
Whenever there is a secret code, somebody has to decipher it so
that it can be understood. There was a special group of people during
World War II that tried to crack the secret
coded messages of the Nazis and the Japanese.
A Muslim scientist named Dr. Rashad Khalifa was blessed by God to study
the Quranic initials and to decipher the Quran's secret 19-based code
1400 years of the prophet's death. We now identify with the meaning of
the verse in the Quran "Over it is 19" (74:30).
Just as these people deciphered coded messages, scientists found the secret
code of life, DNA.
Everything our cells do is prerecorded somehow in DNA. For example, DNA
tells cells when to grow and when to die, or what color to grow our hair.
We learn from the Quran:
Page 2
DNA
He raises a question to us—while forgetting
his initial creation— "Who can resurrect the bones after
they had rotted?" Say, "The One who initiated them in
the first place will resurrect them. He is fully aware of every
creations. (36:78-79).
Our cells use different codes to determine what functions to carry
out, just as we use code to communicate. We learn from the Quran:
Anything that happens on earth, or to you, has already
been recorded, even before creation. This is easy for God to do.
(57:22)
DNA provides information for the synthesis of components (proteins)
necessary for cellular function. Our DNA is inherited from our parents.
We resemble our parents simply because our bodies were formed using
DNA to guide the process. We learn from the Quran:
We created the human being from a certain
kind of mud. Subsequently,
we reproduced him from a tiny drop, that is placed into a well-protected
repository. Then we developed the drop into a hanging (embryo),
then developed the hanging (embryo) into a bite-size (fetus), then
created the bite-size (fetus) into bones, then covered the bones
with flesh. We thus produce a new creature. Most blessed is GOD,
the best Creator. (23:12-14)
Inside every cell, there is the information that determines what
function the cell performs. This information is in the form of DNA
that is found in chromosomes that exist in the nucleus of our cells.
We learn from the Quran:
He produces the live from the dead, and produces
the dead from the live, and He revives the land after it had died;
you are similarly resurrected. (30:19)
The most important part of the cell is the nucleus. Inside this
nucleus is a material called chromosome. Cells in our body contain
23 pairs of chromosomes. Each chromosome of a pair stands for the
same traits as its counterpart. A
chromosome is a long strand of DNA that
contains certain genes. These genes are portions of the DNA strand
and tell the body what proteins to make. These proteins help carry
out the functions of the cell. They form the structure of our skin
and hair, act as enzymes to break down our food, and regulate the
different processes of the cell and carry the genetic information
of the cell.
DNA is the coded message for the chemicals that make up our body.
DNA tells the body what proteins to make, which in turn carry out
the functions of the cell, and form the structures of the cell.
Every cell in our body has the same genes and DNA. Our cells have
all the genetic information for our whole body. We learn from the
Quran:
We will show them our proofs in the horizons, and
within themselves, until they realize that this is the truth. Is
your Lord not sufficient as a witness of all things? (41:53)
God be glorified.

My Journey to Submission
I was born on May 19, 19xx. 42 days later my parents baptized me
as a Roman Catholic. I had no choice in the matter. My mother whose
family originally comes from Ireland and my atheist father agreed
to bring my sister and I up as ‘good Catholic girls.’
Although in fact our lives differed little from other people’s
in Britain except for the odd reminder that because we believed
in God we were ‘special.’ Perhaps like most children,
religion did not feature significantly. I went to a Catholic school
until 11 and to church every Sunday on and off through until my
early teens. The best bit was always home time. I always believed
in God and went through all the motions e.g. going to confession
and I prayed the way I had been taught whenever I felt worried or
frightened. But I had little faith.
Christianity leads you to believe that God i.e. Jesus loves you,
the end. You do not have to do anything except love Jesus and try
to be as good a Christian as possible. But then even if you commit
grave sins Jesus is going to forgive you anyway since he gave his
life for you in the first place. Life is not a test, it is a gift
from Jesus. Every Sunday while reading the Statement of Faith I
learnt that only Catholics go to heaven and we were of course all
going there without question. Although most of the doctrines I could
never understand. The logic of the trinity still escapes me. How
could Jesus call himself ‘son of man’ and ‘son
of God’ at the same time? Why were there 4 different accounts
of the same story and how were we supposed to accept all of them?
How on earth was altar wine and rice cakes supposed to turn
into Jesus’ body and blood, and
how scary was that? I assumed and was told that I was too young
to understand and thought I was the only one to question such beliefs.
I kept quiet. At 16 after several short-lived attempts to find truth
in my religion and ‘sort out my relationship with God’
as I put in once in a diary entry of things to do, I had had enough.
Religion was on hold for now, it was time to live. My Mum had given
up making me come along to church a year earlier, I often felt like
walking out anyway. I wondered if God existed at all, dare I become
an atheist? But I couldn’t. The truth was out there, somewhere.
I just wasn’t ready for it yet. Or so I thought. Soon after
I started studying Islam in great depth.
Looking back due to my change of schools I realized that by some
“coincidence” I had been exposed to it for the past
6 years even though it’s only mandatory to have covered it
in one year of high school. Oh good I thought, Islam is interesting.
A couple of days later, I read a hadith where Muhammad
predicts the future and my heart skips a beat. In a split-second
I wonder if there is truth in this religion of which I am so fond.
So began my obsession with Islam. Everything I read is Islam, I
am surfing the internet all the time. I can’t study except
of course if it’s Islam. The more I learn the more I love
and the more I question the things I grew up believing. I waited
weeks to be allowed to take our school’s Quran home, a Yusuf
Ali translation. Reading it I am absolutely terrified: what is this
talk of hell, and punishment, who is this God to talk to us like
this, why is God constantly reminding us of His greatness and all
that He does for us. Really this is how arrogant Christians can
be.
But I read and read.
One day I find the part which states the trinity to be blasphemous.
Suddenly I feel as if I have ‘come home’ and even though
I knew all along that Islam rejected the trinity, for the first
time I actually realize that it is God saying it, to me. It was
quite a psychological shift to convert. If the God of Islam was
the God I knew and loved was there any truth in Christianity at
all? So then I started searching for proof about Jesus, archeological
evidence, everything and anything. I had major doubts. Suddenly
everything had to be questioned, it got very deep. What was the
meaning of life, what were we here for, was life a test?? Islam
was so perfect, it answered all my questions. Compared to the restrictions
and negative attitudes associated with Catholicism it was a breath
of fresh air.
Well for a while. 4 months later, the course changed but I continued
to research into Islam alone. I felt that it was truth. I could
imagine myself converting one day, if only I could seek out my doubts.
Since all the while I was learning about Islam there was something
making me uncomfortable but I didn’t know what. Of course
I knew all about the bad side of Islam, the culture that was mixed
up in it. I read testimonials of people who had suffered and blamed
the religion for it.
I read up on Middle Eastern politics, terrorism, Jihad, we had
studied this at school too. I knew all about the ‘dark’
side to Islam. It was sad, horrible and frightening but I didn’t
despair, this was, after all, the truth. I was really into it, trying
to memorize Arabic words for things, wondering what Muslim name
I would pick.

My Journey to Submission
I stopped drinking and took on a lot of what you could call ‘Islamic
morals and behavior.’ But something was still wrong; eventually
I was tearing my hair out in frustration because I just could not stand
the idol-worship of Muhammad. Although (at the time) I appreciated the
wisdom of Hadith and Sunna, I couldn’t help feeling
that a new trinity was beginning to emerge…
Soon after I put a web search in for Islam and teenagers and found the
teens page on Submission.org and was absolutely glued to the screen from
then on. I was initially annoyed with a lot of the content and proceeded
to argue with it mentally. But of course almost immediately it began to
make sense. Over a couple of days I had read the majority of the whole
site and breathed a huge sigh of relief. So I was right to question it
after
all, just like I was right to question the
trinity. Looking back it was almost as if God was saying to me “Now
that I have shown you Islam, my religion, and the worst side of it and
you were prepared to accept it, let me show what it is really like.”
I ignored all references to the 19 code on the site at first, the idea
that hadith were to be discarded was big enough. I was of course amazed
when I finally read about the Mathematical Miracle and Rashad Khalifa’s
claim to messengership. From the start I accepted it easily. There was
just so much sense in it, and I had been craving sense for a long time…
Rashad said he was a messenger; just the fact that he was saying that
with such confidence and had met the conditions was enough. I consider
it a blessing that not coming from a Muslim background I had not developed
an attachment to Muhammad and his persona, so I was quite happy to forget
about him and
his opinions. I had never even thought about
whether he was the last messenger or not. I ordered Rashad’s translation
from Amazon and it soon became one of my most treasured possessions. Reading
it constantly I heard from God over and over again “do not harbor
any doubts.” I wondered what I was waiting for and starting praying
soon after. I didn’t tell anyone or make an announcement; I didn’t
say the shahadah in anyway. I just started praying one day. It
took a couple of days before I learnt the movements and months before
I could say Sura 1 in Arabic only because there was nowhere I could hear
it from. I was in a dream world. Nothing had ever felt as good as those
few days. I was at peace with the world. And I have been ever since. Now
I know what I am here for and the soul-searching is over. Submission is
my life.
All praise and thanks is due to Almighty God. May the kingdom, the power
and the glory be His, now and forever, amen.
